Details: Talt explores the framework, the structure, the unseen. Concrete is the material that builds many of the worlds structures. We wanted to explore the foundation of concrete’s strength and physicality. Behind the world’s tallest and smallest buildings is a wire frame. Woven through out the inside of the concrete foundation you have a grid of long metal rods.
By shedding the layer of concrete, we applied the concept of the frame to our outdoor furniture chair. Without the heaviness of the concrete, the frame allows the sitter appear weightless underneath the wire
chair beneath them.
